
Bookings are made for periods of one week from 3pm on Saturday to 10am the following Saturday.
Weekend stays are also possible throughout the year, except during the school holidays. Booking opens 3 weeks before of the stay is due to commence.
The rental prices include the supply of 8 kWh of electricity per day, water and gas (for cooking appliances). Consumption in excess of this is charged to the person(s) renting the accommodation. Heating is not included in the rental price, unless otherwise stated in the gîte entry.
As a rule, sheets and household linen are not provided. However, it is possible to hire these at most gîtes.
The proprietor of the gîte or his/her representative will be there to greet you. He will give you a guided tour of the accommodation and will provide any information you may require to ensure that your stay goes well.
You will be asked for a deposit of 250 or 300 euros. It will be returned
to you at the end of your stay after inspection of the gîte, with
a deduction being made for any damaged items or damage due to poor
maintenance of the accommodation.
At the time of inspection (arrival, departure), the inventory will be carried out by both parties.
Cleaning the accommodation is the tenant's responsibility during the rental period and prior to departure. Some owners do not require this of tenants and charge a supplement instead (housekeeping charge.
Any complaints relating to the condition of the accommodation can be taken into consideration only if they are notified to us within 3 days of arriving at the gîte.
An accommodation capacity has been determined for each gîte. If the number of occupants exceeds the stipulated capacity, without prior agreement, the proprietor reserves the right refuse additional occupants or to collect a surcharge.
Pets are not always allowed. Their presence must always be notified to the reservation service and set out in the rental agreement.
Users of the reservation service can take out cancellation insurance which guarantees the reimbursement of paid sums in the event of cancellation on serious grounds. They must also take out civil liability insurance if their householder's comprehensive policy does not cover risks related to renting a gîte (water damage, fire, etc.).
For 6 months of the year, some self-catering gîtes (marked with an A in the description) offer a priority booking option to professional tour operators. If these gîtes are not booked by the latter, they are returned to the reservation service through which they are offered for rental. |
